How often should you post on Instagram?

What would be most effective? I'm just wondering your experiences with the algorithm.

1. Posting quality content once every couple hours
2. Posting quality content twice a day

Twice daily, run for a while and determine the best times, i find early morning like 8-9am in whatever time zone you are targeting works best for me

Twice daily, once you're established with a large amount of followers you can drop it to once per day and you'll still get new followers, but twice daily is good. In the morning (I don't do 8/9 AM because that's when everybody is rushing to work or school, they don't have time to be scrolling through IG for a long time, I post more like at 10-11 AM, when people have been at work for a bit and their focus is starting to wander...)

I post twice a day on some of my accounts because I find that it helps me grow. if you going to post twice a day on a new account I wouldn't, I would build the account up first a little

I'd highly recommend 2 to 3 times per day with the classic posts. With the stories I'd do 4 to 8 times per day. But the best would be do what works best for you. You must try it for a few days then you'll be much more wise.

What if the account is new and is only nearing 1k followers, should i post more ? or keep posting once or twice ?

I only schedule post quality content once a day, and some sudden post randomly

In the past I did twice per day but now I find posting once a day allows you to maximise engagement as it takes about 20-24 hours for a picture to stop bringing in likes.

I guess the ideal answer is; Whenever you find that the amount of likes being received for your most recent post has slowed down to a point where very few likes are coming in, then you should post your next picture.
