I thought maybe someone might have some experience of this and know the answer.

If you are using Paypal to take payments from a website, let's call it ABC.com - and Paypal decide to do one of their infuriatingly annoying "account limitations" on your Paypal account...

If you swapped the payment buttons so that you're now taking payment through a different Paypal account - would they notice that, and if they did would they then limit that account too?

The problem is that I had a flurry of refund requests because my email packed up and I couldn't get in touch with my customers - I thought my emails were being sent - they weren't - and it's tripped the "too many refunds" filter.

Since I got the email working again about 70% of the refund requests were closed, the only ones that I ended up refunding (2) were ones who didn't respond to emails or through the resolution panel.

Have submitted all files etc to Paypal but 2 weeks later they still haven't sorted it out, and I don't want to take more payments into an account that may end up being locked, so am in limbo.

Only thing I can think of is either use different Paypal account or try another processor - not sure which are any good?

just start your own legal company and follow their terms -.-
