Hello BHW,

i want to rebuild the backlink profile of my competitors.
The competitors are using context revelant forums massivly for backlinking. I want to do that aswell.
I`ve analysed the number of refeering backlinks form the forums to their homepages with ahrefs.

To build up a natural backlink profil i also need deep links. But i have no clue about their deep link ratio. Is there any why to analyize the deep link ratio of my competitors or is there any best practice deep link ratio?

Thanks

It is based on the assumption that (in general), site wide text links placed on sites with extensive deep linking produce higher click-through ratios than those placed on sites with few or no deep links. This is our experience but like so many other factors in off-page optimisation virtually impossible to prove. As is another intuitively correct and similar premise that search engine algorithms show a preference for sites with extensive deep linking.
