I am a complete noob at making videos

Well what I do is find a theme, then work around it. For instance, lose weight, I can easily find a slew of before and after pictures, speak quickly about the benefits of losing weight and achieving a hard, sexy body. Of course that is set to music, watermarked, etc.

You can very easily make a free 30 second spot at Animoto, just find the pictures, upload and your done.

What I offer is more than that, since I'm a commercial account holder. I'll still start the process at Animoto, then download and add a bit to it with Vegas Video.

You can do the same with Windowns Movie Maker.

Then use Tubemogul for distribution, which easily gives you the ability to distribute video to multiple sites.

So in my opinion, and especially since you speak of a 20 second vid, then go signup and create a freebie at Animot.

For screen capture... especially a short one like your speaking of.. I'd suggest Jing... fast and easy... If you want to get fancy, then Camtasia, but there is more work involved then.

There is an ad on for fire fox called download helper which lets you download lots of videos. Also "cam studio" is a freeware clone of the camtasia recorder so you might want that

zamzar.com is a free video converter. Take a couple minutes and they send it to you via e-mail. Convert to wmv, load into WMM and watermark. There you go, free conversion and watermark. Search the forum for a tutorial on watermarking with WMM. Youtube has tutorials as well.

In that case, I think screen recorder DemoCreator can do some help, and there is great editing feature in it.

I like softhinkwebvideo downloader plugin for firefox also free. It, adds an Icon to your browser every time your on a site with a video it put them in pending, you then go back and download all the ones you want when your ready, you don't have to stay on the site. Great for video shopping and downloading while you sleep.

Windows Movie Maker is so fantastic
I was scared to use it a year ago having to learn but got over that pretty easy after a bit

If you don't want to bother with screen capture software like Camtasia just make screen shots and pop them into windows movie maker with annotations/arrows etc.

- To take screen shot press 'print screen' on keyboard
- open up Mspaint
- paste clipboard
- save

At this stage you would be able to add annotations, arrows, lines etc in mspaint.. (probably wouldn't look very professional but its better than nothing)

Rinse and repeat until you have enough screen shots to explain how your site works and then import these images into Windows Movie Maker and create your slide show. (There are plenty of tutorials on the web telling you how to do this)
