What's the next move ?

So Basically I Created my Account 2 Years ago, I was really Active in the beginning but it got to a Point where I didn't post for like 2 Months or so over a period of time.

I Started my Account with Follow/Unfollow, and at some point I was getting really good engagement, about 80K per Video.

Then I stopped posting again, and since then the engagement hasn't come back.

Couple of Months ago I joined Engagement Groups, but they didn't make a difference either. In fact I left them, because all my comments looked like spam now, everybody was just commenting "great video, haha so funny, Lmao, etc."

I'm currently Posting again on my Account, I'm kinda boosting likes with a basic like App so it doesn't get <10 likes.

My Question now is, should I start a new Account or should I keep going with it ? My biggest Argument for keeping my Old Account is, that it already has some Followers, I Personally would Follow an Account which has some K Followers over an Account with < 100, but that's just my Opinion.

I've read in an other Thread that the Instagram Account @kalesalad grew without hashtags and has phenomenal engagement.

But how can you grow your Account without using hashtags ?
How will People find your Account ?

If I should make a new Account what is the best way to start ?

Should I Follow/Unfollow in the beginning ? Should I stop using Like Apps ?

I feel like the like apps aren't helping. Sounds a lot like a shadow ban to me. Test it out:

1. Find a small hashtag
2. Put it on a photo about 1-2 days old
3. Open up separate browser, do Incognito Mode or equivalent
4. Search hashtag
5. Do you pop up in any of the tags you used?

Instagram even said it themselves, hashtags don't matter if the content sucks. It also seems to me the second you start to follow/unfollow you can't gain new followers naturally. Just observation though.

Start a new account. Your Engagement will never reach what it used to be. That account is worthless now in terms of Engagement

So I went to an old Picture, and changed the hashtag, looked it up in Incognito Mode and it didn't show up.

@kalesalad is not an instagram account that you should aspire to be, this is for several reasons. basically reposting lame memes, not monetized problem, followers for the most part have little buy interest, etc. i could go on and on

See, this is where I don't know where the problem lies. My belief is that Instagram is making it so that you cannot do proper outreach without promoting posts through them.

If you want a fresh account, make a new one and start over. Pain in the ass. I say keep going and don't waste all that past work you did. I'm sure other members have better advice though.

Same for me. All my accs get ghosted. Today I tried making an acc on school network. I will let the acc sit for a week and then check if it is ghosted or not.

And i got a method that works if you want to increase your engagement but its alot of effort and time.... but it fixes the problem
