Hi! Recently, I have purchased a handful of domains and am working on some websites. The first one I have pretty solid is a wordpress blog. Personally, I think it's coming along pretty well for its niche. Has some decent page views for what it is so far since google is still indexing the site, but the SEO is definitely up to par once that is all ready.
My issue, though, that I believe will cause me issues down the road, is that some things are missing. Or maybe I'm just not doing this right.. it's been a while since I've used wordpress, but I know what I am doing. I used to provide tech support for a clients wordpress site.
"Read More"/Jump
Right now, there is no way to read the post other than to click the title, and the link is just resized black text.. that's no good for business! How can I allow someone to "read more"? Is this not a standard feature? the -----------MORE----------- setting on post create/edit seems to do nothing. It inserts it in the post, but it doesn't do anything. It's still the same. I also tried a "read more" plugin, but the ones I am finding are forcing me to insert code every time I make a post.. I know this can be a permanent process.
Comments/Views/Date
Nothing is showing up unless you view the post, by clicking the title. I want that to be displayed on the post excerpts on the front page:
e.g. Posted 00/00/00 00:00am, 0 comments, etc
I have reason to believe it is because of the theme I am using, but do not want to change it and cause problems as I am rather satisfied where the site is right now, it's just these few issues that I am being presented.
I realize I have 8 posts and I see I must have 15 to post a link, but I'm not going to post the link, just the domain, so hopefully that is okay. Could someone take a look at this and let me know what it is I can do here?

There are ads running on this site. No popups. Google Adsense and Infolinks. Please be aware of this and know that I don't want you to do anything you don't want to do.
Thank you for your help in advance. Greatly appreciated.
I have nothing to offer in return at this moment, but you will not be forgotten, I assure you.
