So I am currently building a site in Wordpress with godaddy hosting. My partner says that having more than 10-14 plugins would slow the site down. (Not sure how true this is)

Anyway, I am wondering if I can use contact form 7 as a survey versus survey monkey. Is this commonly used procedure? What would you recommend?

Too many plugins can be a resource hog but it depends on your traffic and hosting and what the plugins do.
Test your site speed before and after adding a plugin to see if it has a negative effect
