Bad Engagement

This past week engagement has gone down like crazy.... anyone else notice that too?

Are you guys running any bots or scripts? My IG account is a biz account and I've noticed it's not necessarily the engagement but just the total number of impressions is down quite a lot. End of 2016 I had around 4k impressions per post now its 3.3k.

I wonder if there was a change to the algorithm? Have you changed anything in the past few months?

Lol... My account was fucked by the algo change...

My account had about 500,000 average impressions per post end of 2016, and now I'm at about 50,000... It's fucking ridiculous. IG destroyed every account except small ones and extremely big ones.

Yep basically decreased engagement on most of my accounts.
I notice IG favors smaller accounts, like less than (5-10k followers), there posts go explore page all the time, while pretty decent big pages don't (20k-100k followers)
So basically small pages and huge pages like 1m+ get favored

My page is 1m+ and its shit engagement... haven't gotten on the explore page in forever. Seems IG is mainly favouring small accounts if anything

I'm still getting 300k+ impressions on my photos/videos but they get barely any likes and views... like videos with 500k impressions get less than 200k views, it makes no sense. With over 1m followers I should easily hit explore. Only option I guess is to just start on a fresh account.

My engagement has increased vastly. I would get 250-300 likes but my last three posts have 600-1,800 likes.

Yeah you are correct smaller accounts are gaining followers and engagement a lot while the bigger accounts are suffering bad right now.
