What is the the best payment Gateway to Accept US Credit Cards for an eCommerce site (Seller based out of US)

Currently using 2checkout but the fees are a killer.

3.9% + .45 Per Transaction + 1.5% crossborder + 5% currency conversion = about 11% which is crazy

Have you tried Stripe for the purpose.

PayPal has better rates than that lol

Worldpay might be worth looking at, their rates are good and you can haggle with them.
They offer merchant accounts and some great options like card terminal rentals etc if you do trade shows.

stripe and authorize net are the most used payment service providers in the US!

Stripe all the way man, I'm a seller based outside the US :D

Authorize.net and braintree let out a whining noise when you tell them you're not in the US. All stripe asks for is your passport scan.
