Cheapest way to rank for short term?

The cheapest way that you can "try" to do it would be using web2, blog comment, 301 spam. There are other ways to rank fair fast and keep your page there, however I am not going to go into it, and you probably do not have one of the secret ingredients to do it anyhow.

Look for low competition keywords, than you can rank fast and for long!

make youtube vid and put shitload backlinks on it. i did make a video linking to my site that is now banned. i made new site 2 months ago, the video is top1 and i cant rank higher with my new site lol. funny stuff is that i didnt do any backlinks to the video, while did a lot of website. So even normal youtube videos are ranking high. Now you add some links and booom.
They probably also care for user signals, if they watch it till last second, do they comment, like sub etc.
generally any sites like youtube are great. linkedin is also ranking very high. you can use them. Leath wrote great guide about that.

Yeah, mostly for flip purposes. I have some ideas for hit n run. Anyhow, looking for short term ranking, not going to maintain it.

If you want to rank the keywords withing small budget, then you need low competition keywords and you can rank them with web2.0, blog commenting, forum posting.
