do u mean virgin anonymous proxies?
if so i use to scan by the bucket load
last year, there fewer in numbers this
year but there still there if u no the port
and were.
ps. they wouldnt be what you would call
private, but they would be fresh scanned.

Needed for posting on Gumtree.. Resetting my cable modem each time which is kinda working but need somethng easier to automate

For Vista
1. Click Start
2. Click All Programs expand the Accessories menu
3. In the Accessories menu, Right Click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator
4. Type ipconfig /release and hit enter
5. Click Start, Control Panel, and open Network and Sharing Center. Depending on your view, you may have to click Network and Internet before you see the Network and Sharing Center icon
6. From the Tasks menu on the left, choose Manage Network Connections
7. Find and Right click on the active Local Area Connection and choose Properties (If you're hit with a UAC prompt, choose Continue)
8. Double-click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
9. Click on Use the following IP address
10. Enter a false IP like 123.123.123.123
11. Press Tab and the Subnet Mask section will populate with default numbers
12. Hit OK twice
13. Right click the active Local Area Connection again and choose Properties
14. Double-click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
15. Choose Obtain an IP address automatically
16. Hit OK twice
17. Go to What Is My IP to see if you have a new IP address

This won't work if you have a router.

Cheers for that, I do use a router but could connect direct to the modem if none of my flatmates are online.. Might try it during the day with some scheduled macros

What I've currently been doing with my cable connection (Virgin media if anyone else uses these) is changing the Mac address of the router, and rebooting the modem..

Would prefer to use proxies though, only problem I'm finding it hard to find decent elite UK proxies and they're a bit pricey.. I was renting a few from proxies for rent dot com which were working great, but the servers been down about a week now & they're taking longer & longer to reply to my emails so think I need to find someone else

The MAC address thing is exactly what I do. Unfortunately, I have around a 45 second downtime which is pretty crap as I ruin it for everyone else as well

Yeh, and sometimes for me it fucks up and takes ages which really pisses everyone off! Plus it's a pain in the arse, un-automatable, and i can't imagine it's all that private, I'm sure the ISP must have a record of who's using which IP and when..

Thinking of signing up for net with a mobile phone provider, but I've heard people saying aircard IPs are mostly blocked by CL, and I fear gumtree have/will follow suit and I'll be lumbered with a 12 month contract! Anyone else had experience in UK with these?

I've managed to use a script to rotate my IP.

Two main you need (for me):

http://192.168.2.1/

- Reboot router

http://192.168.100.1/

- Reboot cable modem

I've never posted on gumtree or anything so can't comment on the mobile net, even thought I have it.
