Can you please share what changes did you make?
Changed some text, removed tags list in all posts, removed anchor text with CPA link and send again sitemap in webmaster. I made this changed last week, but at the moment nothing changed

You know how Google could really hand us our asses? If they would rate backlinks by the amount and time on site etc. of visitors on the linking site. Or to put it this way: the impressions a backlink gets. Even worse: the clicks a backlink gets...

I think about stuff like this from time to time.
Backlinks that get clicked more often could more carry weight than backlinks that get clicked less often.
I'd imagine this would be an easy algorithm for Google to write.

Especially now that almost anyone has GA installed on their site... And even without... Even sites like SEMRush are capable of housing how much traffic a site/page generates...
If this becomes true one day this would truly kill some people, mainly spammers... Which makes it even more probable...

It is still dancing for me in regards to the keywords that were affected by this update ( not all of my keywords were) On the positive side, despite the dance my traffic is unaffected and is in line with the past few or a couple of months. Which makes me think that this s$%^ might be still rolling out across different data centers and the SERP monitoring tools aren't picking up on it. I've seen something similar back in Sep/Oct, back then I did nothing and I do nothing this time. I'll give it some time. In the mean time instead of checking the SERP few times a day I work on diversifying my income so I don't have to relay 100% on google.

Well, if you want to earn the title of "the most moronic post", you succeeded. The post should remain clean and only with valid and concrete information. At this point, some of you just spam this thread and contribute to the myths involving SEO.
If you think about a position being set because of the number of clicks a link gets, what if the link it's an image and the reader does not know? What happens with older posts that don't get traffic anymore? Most of the sites don't use analytics, they use clicky, wp plugins, custom solutions and so on, how would google track that? But what about the traffic from other SE ? And the list of issues could continue, so stop the bs.

I guarantee you they've tested the idea and it yielded terrible quality SERPS. Large media conglomerate posts, and viral click-bate are not a good way to decipher which sites are quality. As it is Google has a problem with large media conglomerates manipulating the SERPS by spawning new sites and promoting them on their other properties. Take a look at how Top Ten Reviews got rolling...

Dancing one keyword a lot of drops bounces back and drops again, pretty stupid company imo. All the rest of the SERP are either double pointless URLs from other sites - think support pages ranking when they shouldn't, and other pointless old articles. Top two are two PMD domains with crap but lengthy copy that doesn't read well but ranks.
Actually it's not moronic, Google has a patent on devaluing links based on traffic:

Also, Google doesn't need GA to have traffic data. It has access to SERP CTR and Chrome users' data...

Why are you looking at the issue through a "black or white" lens?
Nobody said a non-clicked link would be valueless.
I'm saying it would carry less weight than a clicked link.
We need to stop looking at the algorithm like it's a "if this then that" machine.
Under certain circumstances, the algorithm may devalue a link that doesn't get clicked.
In other cases, it may give it more weight.
I don't think proposing either theory is a crime.
And it would be naive to think Google hasn't thought about this already.

Well traffic to a link IS already a small part of the algo.
I don't think most people realize just HOW insanely complicated the algo is. This is why Google built the world's most sophisticated neural net AI to manage and balance it. Because there are SO many moving pieces that no human could possibly manage it. Given that it would be a mistake to try to simplify things in order to try to fully understand it. All you need to know is that Google is a black box... info goes in and a decision comes out. Even Google doesn't know WHY the neural net comes to the conclusion it comes to... they only know that it bases that decision with their (Google's) best interest and goals in mind. The only true advice I can give you is to stay OUT of the way between Google and their goals. Those who find a way to profit without becoming disruptive will be rewarded long term. This is why you are seeing SEO turn more toward quality content... because Google likes good content to provide in their SERPS. The rest of you are squeezing sand and looking for shadows to blame.
