Not appearing in top posts for hashtags

I've asked many different people this question and I am still not satisfied with the answers I've received.No matter how many likes I get, my post does not not appear in top hashtags. There was even a post in one hashtag from 3 months ago so I really don't understand why my post doesn't show.

I have tried getting as many likes in a minute as I can(there was a bot which added 100 straightaway when posting) and that still did not work.

I'm starting to think my account may be banned in some way. Only when an account follows my account does it show on their top hahstags. When I try with other travel related account, I get the same problem - they can only see my post in top hashtags if they follow. However, All the posts appear in recent posts so I do not believe I'm shadow banned.

I would be very grateful if someone could shed some light on this issue. Thank you!

Are you using any bots on your accounts? I found that my hashtags sometimes get ghosted too for top posts, I use FL. but it usually takes a few months before it happens.

Haven't been using any bots. My account has been running for about 2 months now. The account I used to like other people's photos on engagement groups was on another ip(vps) so I don't think my IP address is a problem either.

Getting to Top9 depends on a LOT of factors:
1) Commonality of your audience. If they're too diverse, the trending gets dilluted.
Instagram has said this in so many ways based on Developer blogs, screencast they've presented.

2) Based on Engagement Ratio along w/ FOllower to following ratio.
A user with 5K followers and 400 likes will out rank a user w/ 50000 followers and 1,500 likes.

3) Rate of likes/velocity of likes

4) prior engagements.

Maybe the accounts that liked your pictures were bots that got ghosted. Those won't count at all. I've seen people with 5k likes not ranking for tags where other people only had 150 likes on average.

Getting huge number of likes is not important. How you get them matters a lot more!
Also, the amount of followers, their authenticity. Again, it's not just the numbers, it's about the overall activity.

But other accounts can see my recent posts in hashtags even those that are not following. That's not what shadow banned is right?
