Need Help Pushing down A bad Review in an online forum

Hi Guys,

I have been trying for about 6 months now to push down this review for a construction company. The problem is that the review is set in a popular forum website in this country.

I have replied in that forum etc. I have created a subreddit, boosted their twitter following, made a youtube & vimeo channel for them, bought youtube views and likes etc. Started a LinkedIn company page and I can't seem to steadily get them on the first page.
I have now purchased 5 domains with the company name within it and have built 3 websites on 3 of them and I am currently trying to rank them for the companies name. The highest one so far is on the top of page 2. Is this the best way to go about this?

The forum site is sitting sometimes at 4-5 and it will occasionally jump over the companies Instagram which has 900 or so natural followers. The forum site has a DA of 43 and a PA of 52.

What would you guys suggest? I really need some help with this. Any help would be great. If someone has any experience with this please PM me!!1

Get actual users of the construction company to reply in that forum thread with positive reviews and get them to quote the negative post while replying. This may sound idiotic but sometimes these particular positive reviews start ranking instead of negative post. But don't do fake reviews as that is not what a real business wants.

Hi, The problem is the guy didnt start the thread, he replied in a comment on someones else thread and the heading to that one was "Lured by a construction company, dont ever hire them"

and he just commented in that with the company name like 4 times and its ranking with that heading thread. We have replied within that and it doesn't help because it keeps coming up with that heading.

Why not start another thread in the forum which is positive and try rank it by sending some nice backlinks to that thread.

So start another thread? And then purchase say a blog package with links to that thread? Is that what you mean?

Yes, start another positive review thread. Get few actual customers to reply in them. Then build few quality links to that post. If they permit signature links then have that thread in your signature and continue posting in the forum in other areas, ensure you contribute rather than just posting. Give it some time and this thread should start ranking. You don't need heavy link building to these threads as from what you say the forum is powerful by itself.

It doesn't allow for signature threads, but also how can I have the other move out of the first page, any other tips. If I start a positive thread and that reaches page one it won't really push down the negative one will it?

It doesn't move out other thread but generally threads from same forum are grouped by Google when showing search results and it should show the best related thread and rest are hidden.

Good Call Sristy, Agreed. Start another thread, using similar title terminology, and populate with positive comments.

While this might be good in theory, if someone posts a negative reply in your new thread, you've compounded the problem by building links to it. This is what I call a "potential negative". While it may not be negative right now, it can potentially become negative. My clients would be really unhappy if we spent time and energy pushing up a forum thread only to have it turn negative on them.

Ok, if i Shouldn't follow this what would you recommend? Could I send links to some of the social media accounts on the 2nd page? Such as Houzzz, LinkedIn etc

Yes, building up any assets below the negative is a great start. Adding content when you can to those pages, building links, social media mentions, etc. all help as well.
