How to check if a website uses PBN?

I wonder if there is any way to check if a certain website uses a PBN or not? I mean with some online free tool (not paid).

I would need to know this, as I'm trying to do white-hat SEO only, so I want to stay away from getting links from websites that use a PBN.

analyse their backlinks...then you recognize if they use PBNS

it is not that easy to tell if those backlinks come from PBN. Some people are good at hiding stuff from these backlink checkers.

Openlinkprofiler/seo profiler is another

Just checking that out now. The free version looks quite good. Ive been using the free SEO Spyglass, but Open Link Profiler looks to be a bit more feature rich. I havnt compared results yet but the fact that I can sort and export data to .csv is really handy. Thanks for the heads up

I agree with this one here.. http://smallseotools.com/backlink-checker/ is by far the best for discovering those little links [usually the PBN ones] that show up multiple times on a link profile..

Also, make sure to check whois.org to investigate what the site previously was.. if it was a completely non-related topic [within last 1-2 years], you can be 80% sure it's a PBN now.

the fact is that with an htaccess file or a robots.txt file you can forbid ahref, moz, majestic... to scan your website... So it's possible, as this website is not as famous as the other I mentioned, that their robots are allowed to scan werbsites than ahref or other cannot scan --> thats the reason

And I am making thematic PBN with new registered domains so webarchive will not tell you everything...

All you have to do is use softwares like SEMRush or Spyfu. Paste the website you are curious if they are using the PBN link or not in the "Domain Overview" section. Let the software analyze the website. Look through the backlinks in the report and click on all of them. After you see the links, just recognize the PBN. If you don't know what PBN looks like, Google it. There is plenty of information out there. Even on YouTube!
