A few words about payoneer and why I will never use it

Sup blackhatters,

I recently opened a payoneer account, an idea to make a few purchases (the seller only accept payoneer).
What I found inadimisible:
1. DEAD SUPPORT
- if you email them, they answer on 10 days (even there it says 3-5 days)
- live chat is also a joke. They only have 1 person, so if you are lucky, you can be the #30 on queque for the chat session. Why lucky?! Because most of the times you will see "

Chat not available due to high volume of inquires.".

2. HIDDEN FEES
That "tax&fees" page doesnt say more, just generic informations where you have to click on "learn more" to see the comissions. It's useless to say that most of the "learn more" links are DEAD


I dont know how other people deal with these guys, but for me it was the worst experience with a bank from my whole IM career

I use them a lot and there grate , i call there support free over the net , i am in uk , there been very good with me .

There intreast / commision same as others , far as i can tell .

I lost my card , they sent one free and was at my house within 1 week , grate service ask me .

They never coned me or ever done me over ever .

I no a lot of ppl use them , and seem to be a grate service.

You are the first ,i have heard of having bad times with payoneer in a long time.

A lot off ppl was moaning when paypal left them , but apart from that , never heard any more complaints.

They aren't a bank. They are a business, and a subsidiary of Mastercard, which is a financial services provider. Not a bank.

The support part - I definitely agree. It's hard to ever get in touch with them (still had worse experiences with some other businesses...).

Though what other similar service would you recommend? I'm stuck with them cause I don't know any competitors.

Bitcoin is the next best thing to use .

But try and get one that provides a card aswell , so u can get cash out stright away.

Bitcoin wallet i think does a card with bit coin .

Payoneer is good. I got my first card back in 2008 and using them since then with no issues whatsoever. I always read bad things about their support, honestly i've never experienced that. They always reply in a timely manner, meaning under 24 hrs or lately in a few hours. If anything, their support got only better with time. I haven't tried their live chat support though, i only sent queries via their form. They even surprised me once, when i sent a query in English and they answered on my native tongue and i came from a small country. lol

I didn't experience any hidden fees either. If you login to your account, there is a personalized page, where you can see the applicable fees to your account specifically, because it can vary by account, country, partner, but all of the possible fees are listed there.

You have 1% receiving comission and fees for each ATM withdrawal...how can you say it save money?

In India we don't have debit cards, the amount goes directly to our bank and it's around 2.5% including their fee and conversion, while for paypal we pay around 5-6% including currency exchange and their fee.

Payoneer has one of the worst support ever, but their service is great. I don't think there is any hidden charges.
Still on the support part, if you call them on the phone, they will provide solution to your problem ASAP.

When they were new, their support was really good but once they gained popularity, their support have gone downhill.

Payoneer is one of those mid-line payment companies.. they aren't great, but they aren't awful.. just look at the PayPal forum/threads and how everyone thinks they are the devil re-incarnate.
