My keywords have stabilized and dropped 7 positions for all first page first rankings. Do you guys think it will return

It might come back, it might not. A lot of people are waiting patiently for the dust to settle before they give up on their site(s) that are affected and might never come back. So Wait. We are all doing the same.

WTF is wrong with google...my site got hit recently with thin content penalty. I changed fucking everything on the site. Nice informative clean and unique content. My site got approved
and penalty was removed. 3 days later HIT AGAIN. Why? Is there some mistake in their heads or in their algo? I did not do anything to my site...

Personally, I think Google is an amazing search engine. That's evidenced by the fact that us marketers use it everyday, not only as marketers, but also as consumers.

There's been little change in the SERP of the sites I manage for my clients. I have two basic foundations for SEO: stellar content and premium links. Most of you have issues with one or both of these factors.

Time to get back to the study rooms. SEO is not as easy as it's used to be. And that sucks because none of us is used to working long hours everyday for our sites.

No im not in a gaming niche, but why would someone return me from penalty to give me another penalty? Are google employees retarded or something? Right now there is no message in webmaster tools and i've seen people talking their sites completely disappear and appear again. So hmm it might not be penalty, will wait for a while to be sure.

Seems like the links that are added, simply don't give any effects anymore.

I've noticed that too. To this day, this single most valuable page I have on any site -- as measured by CPC, traffic, competition, whatever you want -- has no links of substance to it. A handful of spam sites and low-authority blogs have linked to it somewhat randomly. I've never built a single link to it. And it just dominates and dominates. I'd love to say I'm a freaking genius but I honestly don't know why it does.

Conversely, the pages I've built links to have been a struggle. Either it has a modest effect or no effect. In one example, it had a profoundly negative effect. Go figure.

I'm not saying "links don't matter!" Obviously they do. I continue to see that, as I improve the link profile of a domain, the domain as a whole tends to do better.

I'm saying that the role of links is complicated and subtle, particularly when it comes to trying to make particular competitive queries rank.

its not penalty, new google update decided your site is shit so it got removed off the serps, but defo not a penalty. a lot of ppl here experienced this during recent days

my site has very big keyword density and overoptimalised headings, need to remove headings as tleast... anyway its in the top right now so the update is nowhere about kw density or onpage seo/overoptimalization

You can get this sometimes with good internal linking on your site funneling the 'juice' from linked to pages.

First i was hit by: thin content penalty. You probably know that returning from that is easy. Got back...gained previous rankings stayed there for 5-6 days. Today my site disappear...it was out of serp for half a day. Now...5 minutes ago it's back again. Sorry, i just can't explain this...so strange.

I hope it stay that way for you. But there is explanation to all this fluctuation. The way these udates are pushed out is it starts in one data center and over some days it gets synchronized with the other data centers. So it's possible that one of you queries is hitting the data center where the update is live, and then your next search hits a dc that's not yet synced. Maybe it's not that, and it just looks a lot like an old-style panda update. I have lost only a couple places, but #3 to #6 is the difference between good money and some occasional sales here and there.

When I lost ranking back in September/October 2016 it took 1 month for full recovery. And many keywords recovered better than before the October update. This is a big update so it will take some time for the dust to settle. Just give it some time.
