Anyone decoded? Almost 4 days, still we aren't sure what's this update is all about? :/

From GA, dissapeared all the referral spam sites. I checked more G account, and no referral trashers. I think It can't be a coincidence.

One of the sites I owned that got impacted purely had outreach backlinks. Some of these backlinks were done by me and I also outsourced some to TheHoth.com and FatJoe.co. About 50 links in total. Completed over the course of several months.

As I said, my traffic declined by 50% overnight but my AdSense earnings have remained CONSISTENT, which is the weird part.

It's almost like the traffic is higher quality/converts better.

I honestly think Fat Joe uses a PBN to supplement their guest posts. I ordered 25 posts from them in one order and the first few placements seemed legit. Then on the due date ~20 posts went live. And the sites content were 100% guest posts.

i m also facing the same issue. the rank is dancing from 1st page to 3rs page and then i checked after 2 days the rank was back to first! not sure what's happening

traffic is low but adsense earning is same as usual..
ranking is also same .. I think this is because of festive season in India

Hello, I noticed that those who have not taken backlinks for the last 2-3 months have caught my attention.
The sequence changes every 5 minutes. My site is a PBN network, but there is a traffic loss close to 50%. But I do not have an affected blog when I look at pbn.

Thanks for the reply.

I agree that something shady is going on. On or near the due date, they will suddenly post 10-20 guest posts all at once. Even if they don't own the sites they're posting on, they definitely have some sort of agreement with those bloggers. This means that ANYONE and their mothers can post there. Puts you in a bad neighborhood I think.

Some pages of my site dropped in rankings but others have remained stable. It's really weird but i think it has to do with on-page seo as the impacted page were a little too optimized

Exactly my experience, while the sites look legit, they seem to have direct access to them and the rather generic posts that are always structured in a similar way don't make it better. Even worse, have a look at the backlink profiles of these sites, extremely spammy and low quality most of the time. Could be because some idiots build additional crap links to their guestposts, but doesn't improve overall quality for sure. Definitely not my definition of posts acquired via outreach, rather a low quality publisher network.

Keywords for my money site also dropped. Some keywords dropped a little bit, (few positions), and some few pages, but today it seem that some keywords came back a little bit, not like they been before, but small jump. Now that could be because of pbn that I bought 1-2 weeks ago, they are now starting to take impact of site rankings, but its hard because nobody dont know about what this update is :)

To piggyback on what you're saying, I checked out my backlinks on MonitorBacklinks.com and it turns out that several of the "blogger sites" actually share the same IP and C-Block address! I'm no expert and it could be a coincidence but that smells fishy...

I have never done backlinks, nor anything related to a blackhat, Just Work SEO On Page, It's been a long time since I made SEO on the site.

Well if it helps you, I had a site disappear in February. Old site, no SEO done on it (except on page). It slowly returned and is fully back in the SERPs. But at one point it got totally removed. Dunno what that was. Maybe your site will return in the coming days / weeks.

If the seller sent the report and receit by gmail then they fuck the source, the target and all their relatives. Because they have smoking gun proof the guy was trying to manipulate rankings.

I really don't think that it matters which email address you use. Personally, I've received reports using gmail for PBN links months ago and it hasn't affected me at all, but maybe you're just talking about the email address the seller uses. In which case, he did not use a Gmail.

Better safe than sorry is what I think. Even though I'm 99% sure that using gmail/google docs etc. has minimal risk, there's still that 1% chance - and it's easy to avoid those risks considering the alternatives. Why put your self at any risk, for something that is so easy to fix.
