Verifying Celebrity Instagaram

Hi guys,

Does anyone here know how to verify a legit celebrity with over 4.2 million followers. He is International actor/director who is also hosting a famous TV show. I have tried the "impersonating rep" method and didn't have any luck with it.

I've heard that you need to be connected to an agency who is connected to facebook/instagram, and apply through them. I've seen verified instagram pages with just 5k followers. Also all these viners are verified because they are connected to an agency. Some of them have less than 75k followers.

This can best be done via the celebrity's local Instagram office - assuming he's in a country that has one. If not, his agency should be the people to reach out to Instagram requesting this. Stating that there are unofficial accounts sometimes impersonating him is typically enough cause when an agency reaches out.

But how to reach out to instagram. ?? His manager is my friend and instagram doesn't have any offices in his country. I live in uk. Do they have offices that can do that ?

I used to work for a movie studio in Los Angeles, and we used to do this all the time with celebs. Like Twitter, they go through a verification process and I would go directly through my FB rep. To get a rep, you would reach out to FB or IG directly.

Is it normal that an authorized facebook account business manager would require Admin role to select the FB page (connected to instagram) to do this request? To ask this to facebook in the name of an account?
