High rank for mobile but NOT for desktop

This is really frustrating. For a keyword, I'm ranking like #5 on mobile but #27 on desktop.

Any idea why this is the case? How do I correct it?

I'm guessing either your site is highly mobile friendly in a niche where the competition isn't. Or... your keyword(s) are the type that Google believes people are looking for something different when they are on a phone versus a desktop. There are many keywords like that. How to correct this... that is less clear, especially without knowing more.
