It is possible to run 100-1000 twitter follow liker threads? I have a i mac and can only run 30 before my computer starts freezing up/


I read someone was running 700 that must be one hell of a computer?

what hardware would i need to do this?

In a nutshell:

VPS is a dedicated but split into tiny machines. Many users share a single dedicated box. Dedicated is the machine but no splitting, you have it all to yourself.

Ninja Edit: Don't go thinking that VPS is bad. It all depends on the size of the project. Some projects are better off on VPS as it costs a LOT less (most cases) and gets the same job done. Others, are intense projects which require more power that usually only a dedicated can meet.
