Hi all,
I'm not a total IM noob - (I have one site that earns about $300/400 per month at the moment) but I'm certainly not making any life-changing income. I also lurk here a lot but don't contribute that much. I'm gonna try to change that and give advice where I can, as I have been the recipient of much great advice in the past.
I recently decided to stop taking on too much work in my day job and invest and focus on IM to get to about 3/4k per month. This is the first part of that. The goal for this site is to be earning at least $1,000 per month in the next 6 months.
I bought a brand new, done for you niche site from a reputable seller. Basically it's the same as any niche site you would create yourself, but the design and initial content (about 7,000 words) is done for you. It looks GREAT! Like, it honestly looks so much better than anything i could have done myself. It's also in a great niche and the content is optimized. This cost me $500 about three weeks ago. Since then I have done the following:
Feb-15 Added Web 2.0 Network from a reputable seller $60
Mar-1 Added about fifteen Manual Blog Comments a few days ago (not all of these will get approved) $0
Mar-1 200 Social Signals (drip) $23.37
Mar-1 Press Release Service from a reputable seller $55
Mar-5 High Quality PBN Link $5 (monthly rental)
The Press Release will go live this week, followed by the social signals and the 1 high quality PBN link.
This is my strategy (largely taken from Matt Diggity's Backlink Blueprint):
1. Create site
2. Create social community of web 2.0s and social profiles
3. Release a press release
4. Social signal blast afterwards
5. Initial Link Building (approx 1 high quality PBN link rental per week, and 1 PBN link rental to the social accounts every fortnight)
6. Add 1/2/3/4 (haven't decided the velocity yet) high quality PBN link per week until ranked.
This looks very natural and what would happen if it was a 'real' brick and mortar business. Set up site, set up socials, submit press release, that generates social shares and links etc etc.
I don't have a big budget, but I am going to put in about $300 per month to get this bad-boy earning. I have already purchased the first two sites of my own PBN network, which set me back $169 each for a GREAT domain and the PBN build done for me.
The reason I am paying for the site and the PBN to be built myself is that I do not want to spend hours and hours and hours at this. By marking this journey it will give myself and hopefully the readers a good test on whether these 'done for you' services (high quality, obviously) work and get you an income.
The journey is testing three things:
1. Does this 'natural' looking linkbuilding get you ranked eventually
2. How much (approximately) is needed to invest in order to make $1000 per month
3. Which providers offer the best services.
For full transparency, I want to reveal the providers I'm using, but I think this will be better served a few weeks into the journey (I want to protect them if the site fails, and I want to congratulate them if the site succeeds!).
