Posted a Picture that Got Popular

Question to the IG experts.

I reposted a picture on my personal training business account (3k followers, average likes on a post = 100 likes) and it ended up getting me 1200+ followers in one day, 3000+ likes and 200+ comments and it's still going strong.

Question is, if I post a new picture will it affect the popularity of this current post? I would like to milk as many followers via this post as possible but still want to post about my clients, etc.

Not an expert but in my experience it will affect it very little if you post another picture

I've actually reposted from the same persons account and it didn't have the same effect as this. I'm going to try again once this post dies down.

I posted a picture that went semi popular (bigger reach and engagement than usual, but not as big as I've had it before). I posted a video the next day, and while the video went decently, the photo was still getting decent engagement a day or 2 later still after the video had died down.

I've had 4 or 5 on explore at once. It doesn't impact the other.
