I was inspired by fellow BHW members to do my own journey to unknown riches. I stumbled upon this “My Journey” post here that convinced me to try the same method he is doing. I was convinced to try and build my own store as his, in hoping that I can execute it better given my digital marketing experience. I feel like I can pull this off once I really get my head around it and implement hand-picked method I have learned from this forum.

I am not sure what profit will I be getting, I'm more than happy to embrace how much will I lose and how much will I earn moving forward. So here it goes.

Day 1: I bought a domain name, cost me around $10 for a year. I have my own hosting so not a problem for me. Loaded a premium theme from themeforest. Setup necessary pages (About, TOC, Privacy Policy, Contact & woocommerce pages for payment and shits). Setup necessary social media accounts. Setup GA and Search Console for traffic monitoring. I've also setup some affiliate accounts for future use. Signed up to some dropshipping sites to look for suppliers and products. So far, looking good.

Day 2: (2nd of March) I have registered my store as a legal business name. I decided to register it so I can legally operate things. I don't want to waste my time dealing with legal issues once my journey starts kicking in some $$$$.

That's all for now.. I'm currently researching on bunch of products, carefully selecting which one to try. Any suggestions you may have, don't hesitate to post here.. Badly needed.. :)

Good planning mate!
Hope you make those sacred $$$$ :)
All the best

I am in the same boat and did similar things to you. Good Luck.

At least you are smarter than most who think they can keep operating without a business name, you need a VAT for all kinds of things.

Do you have a creditcard? As soon as you getting multiple orders Paypal will freeze your money for 21 days for the first 60 days (might be shorter if you can provide your customers constant tracking) so you will need to front the money.

Thanks! Agree. I immediately registered my business to save me from big trouble moving forward. Since most of us believe that what journey we have now can take us to unknown riches, why not make it legal at the very beginning.

Credit card - Yes I do have. Any other tips about it? What do you think is the best way I could avoid my account being frozen on Paypal.

Thanks again and I appreciate your kind words.

Well, it seems there is no way around it, I mailed Paypal to ask them if there is a way to avoid it.

They said everybody has to go through this, only thing that can be done is to make the time shorter but for that customers need to have access to tracking which is not always possible when dropshipping from AE.

I'm not sure what method you are using... For amazon/ebay.... paypal will freeze your account. But for me... they always release the funds when the customer gets their order... Which for me is fairly fast... (usually a couple of days)... but I've heard that AliExpress has really long shipping times... So I dunno how that will work...

BTW not 100% sure if its because the item reaches the customers home or if its because the items I provide to my customers all have really good tracking and shit... But the freeze usually only last a few days for me...

But just incase... once u start making some money... or if you have access to proxies... or even a public library (hehe tricks from when I was homeless)... have multiple forms of payment (cards)... and a few paypal accounts... just incase... maybe I'm just anal... but think about it... Maybe it will be your fault or maybe it wont... but eventually a customer is going to complain about something or something dumb is going to happen to the shipment... or someone is going to use a stolen card... to purchase something... yes it may not lead to a ban... but I have had paypal accounts banned for whitehat shit... why risk the possibility of having your funds frozen... leaving you incapable to buy additional products(possibly... I don't know your financial status).. and thus unable to allocate the product to the customer.

I mean its a lot of its... but the types of problems it will cause you IF it does happen can cause everything to mess up... Of course that only applies if you have customers needing orders to be placed...

Anyways good luck. Think rationally.

Thanks a lot! I am not using amazon or Ebay. I am thinking of far more beyond those dropshipping sites. I have 2 options actually for products, 1 - from those dropshipping sites 2 - is still a secret because I haven't really planned it out well just yet.

Yea I have read a lot of posts about funds being frozen on PayPal, I had similar issue long ago, I have like 2k on that paypal that can't be lifted no matter what I do. Anyway, thanks for all the heads up, I will surely take note of that. I am currently using a tracking software for my customers to track their orders, once I get some revenue, I'll invest on a decent tracking software that has a customer service shits. :)

A follow up.
I just received the Business Registration certificate. Whew!
Next couple of days, I'll be testing out products and start some optimization on the site. Do some social media marketing as well. I'll integrate all marketing channels as much as possible and be able to monetize the site in different ways not just the dropshipping method.

Have a great weekend to you guys. I'll update my thread every now and then. Feel free to jump in a conversation with me. :)

sorry bro, maybe i missed this but how are you going to drive customers to your sites? I am currently building some dropshipping sites using WP+alicommerce + Adwords traffic. Im pretty decent at generating adwords traffic for cheap clicks and obv Ali express has gazillions of niches with nice low CPC but decent priced products. I'm subscribing to this thread and hoope you do very well with your project mate. Stay positive no matter what. :)

My method to drive customers to the site will be a mix of SEO + FB Ads + Social Media efforts. I won't be using Adwords, unless a free coupon will be given to me. Adwords will be the last option for me. Maybe once I have more budget, I'll consider Adwords, just not for now. :) Good luck to you too!

This is not possible for all of us. It is not possible in my country. Things are hard here.
