How do I get expire domain

Okay there is a .org domain thats going to be expiring soon in July 2008. I dont think nobody is looking to purchase it but if the person who might want to purchase is not to tech/blackhat savy.

What are some ways I can assure i get that domain name when it expires?

There is no way to "assure" the name.

If for whatever reason, it doesn't renew, it will go into a drop period, and then a delete period. If the name is of any value at all, you aren't the only one looking to catch it. Trust me. Your best bet is to go to Pool.com AND SnapNames.com, register for accounts on both, and bid with both accounts for the best shot.

Be prepared to pay much more than the $10 renewal fee; at least $60.

Godaddy charges something like $13 or $14 (flat fee) for this service, if they don't catch the domain you want, you can reuse your credit for another expired domain, until you get one.
An expired domain is never assured, and I don't know whether godaddy is the best or not for this service but anyway they got me a rare domain (3 letters) relatively easy and cheap

Was it a three letter .com, or a different extension?

GoDaddy has never been great for me, caught one or two, but mostly Pool and Snap have worked the best!

It was a 3letters .com, the was the third I have bid on, they failed me for two I wanted before.
But it took me less than a week to get a premium 3letters .com, and costed me actually $18.99 (flat fee for backordering service until they catch one for you and one year of registration, which is worth 12€ for me, and not $13, my bad )

Sorry to say but I doubt you got a three letter .com for $18.99. Maybe you got lucky and caught a 3 character .com for that price, but definitely not three letter.

Try registering at the major drop catchers if you really want the domain badly. SnapNames and Pool are probably the two biggest and most successful in catching your domain. If you can find where it was originally registered a lot of times you can find which drop catching service is the most appropriate.

check "site:domain.com" in google, if it shows 0 then it may have been banned. Of course there's a chance it may not have had any indexed pages to begin with

I read somewhere that searching for expiring domains can cause some of these companies to buy them up and then sell them. I am wondering for those of you that have used snapnames.com, and pool.com does bidding on a domain tell these companies that their is a demand for it, and publicly let everyone know about it?

I know that this is an impossability, but if you knew that wallmart.com would be expiring soon and knew that they had not reregistered the domain would snapnames, and pool still be the best, and most descrete way to pick up the domain? or how would you go about picking it up?
