Hey Everyone,

I have been blacklisted from Paypal for an extended period of time already. However, this has not exactly stopped me from wanting to enter internet marketing. As of a result, before I begin developing my store I would like to know is it still possible to enter the business without PayPal? Or is that simply wishful thinking?

1. Spoof your vpn and details - very straightforward.

2. Use different payment method eg stripe

Of course it's possible :)

Shopify still has their own payment system and you don't need to accept PayPal.

You can also use Stripe if you are in one of their accepted countries.

Hey Phoenix, thank you :). I really appreciate the tip. Suppose I should get started by researching what to prepare first eh? :).

If you are outside the US you can't use shopify payment system
Ah that makes sense, so whatever store I start. I will have to target specifically to only US Buyers than eh?

No you can target anyone you like, but you can't use the in house payment system, you will have to work with stripe

This isn't true. I have an Australian business and I can use Shopify payments.

Maybe they have updated this since you checked last but there are more countries on the list. https://help.shopify.com/manual/payments/shopify-payments

The only thing is, you have to charge in the currency of your home country. This is bad for me because $20 USD = $25 AUD so people think I am over-charging.

Yeah you're right

Shopify Payments is available only to stores in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia. It is not available to US territories except Puerto Rico.

But i am guessing he is not from any of them

Oh, that is good to note that they are ever expanding! Thank you for the link @phoenix! Not a bad guess @ft-dh given my username, I would have guessed that I was not from the United States either :p but in this case, I am from the States. Merely Taiwanese descent so decided to use a few characters in butchered romanization form for my username is all.

Aha, no worries :). You didn't mean any offense, after all, a harmless mistake. Suppose I am in luck in this case. :D Can't wait to get started.

Should I use a US credit card or something ?
