Losing followers

Hey guys, I'm a bit worried about loosing followers at the moment. The account has been constantly gaining followers for many, many weeks now and all of a sudden i'm loosing followers a few days in a row.

Am I panicking and IG is just deleting old/inactive accounts or could there something wrong with my account? I haven't really changed anything other than starting to post more regularly.

That might be what it is. Try decreasing again, see if there is a difference.

Agreed, depending on the niche, some people might find your posting way too much.. Sure, here on BHW we find it normal, and most niches would also but maybe take a look at your competition and see how often their posting.

Did you boost your followers first by follow to unfollow method? Because if I stop that, I lose alot of followers aswell daily

Yep, that also was my first thought. Also the account is 1,5 years old, so this might be the reason. Thanks!

i think instagram has changed their algorithm to better snoop out Bots, there has been a spur of phone Verification for people. ive read a lot of posts now where people have lost like 20 accounts in 1 day. My account has lost 120 followers since last wednesday, until the Ban hammer stabilizes this will probably be the case.

Fake followers are getting dropped or accounts which are flagged as spam.

Losing followers (most likely are bots) is a good thing. You don't want them in the first place as they do nothing for your post than to look good. I wish I could lose them on my account.
