SEO Real Estate Question

Hi guys I just started talking to a client and he's interested in getting the word done ASAP, but his budget is pretty mediocre, I usually deal with smaller competition words, as I find it easier to deal with, but I just wanted to know what would one charge for a real estate related keyword with pretty stiff competition, if it's even worth dealing with. I can't post a picture, so just some of the top are Trulia, Homes , Zillow, Realtor, Yahoo Real estate, all domains are 6 Years+ and have tons of links pointing to them. Just maybe some advice from someone who has worked in the real estate area.

Will take good time to rank over them. If the client doesn't have good bugdet I suggest you to not lose your energy with that competition

It will be a long tough battle I wouldn't take this up.

You can use traffic travis to see the keyword's difficulty level and then decide. If it shows very easy ranking for it, you can do it otherwise leave it.

That was what I was considering from the beginning, thought it would be kind of like ranking against an amazon page, but it seems everyone is solid rock in authority

The real estate is a tough market to deal with. Is the client willing to get seo services for a long period?

$1750/mo. bare minimum if it's one of the real estate keywords I think you're talking about.

I checked on Traffic travis and it said relatively easy, but I think that's a flawed perception since my Traffic Travis for some reason isn't showing links to the pages as in 0 for all of them, did a check with Market Samurai and looked pretty stiff, thanks for the advice guys, I'll give him the news.

Using SEO for real estate articles is common. I suppose that you have to be good with real estate and with the experience.

I've had good experience here in Australia for Real Estate clients, but mainly because they're not aiming for major cities, more smaller suburbs in those cities. We have a couple of authority sites here which would be similar to Trulia and so forth, but despite being authorities they really have NO linking to specific suburbs, and on a long-tail level can be easily outranked well enough to keep clients VERY happy.
