There is a service I am trying to promote and I will be mostly driving social traffic to my lander, however I want to try and get organic traffic too.

How do I go about SEO for the lander?

With little text I can't really focus on a key word can I?

Would I be best to create some other pages on the site with related long tail keywords and link them all back to my lander?

SEO is not my strong point but I am learning, but has anyone got any experience with this situation or know ways to go about it?

Thanks

Multiple landing pages. Tune each page for 1 exact match search term. Drive your PPC ads to the tuned pages. Doing this lowers your PPC bids by improving quality score. Social usually has similar algorithms. Make the content on each landing page unique including title, meta description and headings... all of which should be made unique by including your target search term for the page.

Sure... happens all the time... You can't target high volume keywords this way but anything sufficiently long tail or low competition is fair game.

one page = one search term

You can try pbns, great for landing pages (imho) but make sure you also build some web2.

Work on multiple landing pages first and optimize them for their respective main keyword. You need to be ranking somewhere with your quality page and some social signals before you can fine tune your offpage SEO.

I was just looking at a guy ranking for a diet keyword with a newslander. Lots of content and the affiliate links are right on the home page. Dont want to out.

Thanks for your replies guys, exactly what I was looking for.
