Second Opinions needed please

Hey guys,

Doing some client work and been banging my head against the wall for the past few months. I can't seem to pinpoint what the issue is.

I've got the site to rank for hundreds of terms in the top 100 but nothing can seem to get into the first page.

Have you guys ever had this problem before? Any suggestions? What would be causing this? Need some fresh ideas.

P.S.. site is over 1 year old. Has mainly whitehat links no spam. Has some huff post + examiner etc.

even if its a whitehat, there should be a deep problem on your client website
first thing i will look is onpage, but i think you already do that,
3 months is too slow even if the comp is very high. in 3 months the safe is in 2nd page
if i were me i will change the domain
sometimes we dont know if we been slap by google because we just dont accept it
having penalty doesnt always mean you wont rank at all, but atleast harder to rank compare than ussual
just my 2cent, dont care at all to you

It's actually been quite a bit longer than 2 months. I would say at least 6-8 that these ranks have been stuck here.

Onpage SEO is quite good. I've even ran through several different scan tools just to make sure I haven't forgotten anything.

I am considering changing domains. Although it was purchased brand new by them and I cannot find one dirty link..

I don't know what went wrong, but the thread appeared on the main page of BHW. The database glitch/bug? I didn't even pay attention to the OP date to be honest.
