I spent so much time building up to what I thought would be the perfect site.

But, as soon as it launched, i realized the market was extremely tiny as it's B2B space.

What do I do? Like...if I continue it I lose more money....but if i stop it...then what's next?

PS Thanks for the responses.
ALOT of people are saying sell the site.
However, the site isn't profitable. It was built on an idea. So all my money was spent on an idea. I also spent money on software to scrape data, to build a linkedin messenger, and basically all the marketing techniques.

My biggest problem is... the website is built on the idea that I could connect everyone in this little industry together. However, the industry is built on spam. So when you send your message to someone, they won't read it.

For the website to be successful, I need to connect the industry together.
However, the industry is small so I'd need like 10% of people to participate. Not 1%.

Any time / investment already spent is a "sunk cost". Carry out a project appraisal from your current situation and calculate whether the ROI from future time / cost is worth it.

Just because you've spent £ + time on a project doesn't mean you still need to continue with it, write the project off as experience if you need to

But whats next
I truly want to give it up...but like....what do you do next?

Try to find someone to whom this website is usefull and willing to spend some money

It's better to accept the fact that you failed on this project than to keep pushing in a direction you know it won't lead to any fructification of your efforts.

That's why keyword research/competition analysis along with market research/competition check are some very important assets to have in your arsenal.

P.S: See if you can perform better than the competition. Just because it's a tough niche, doesn't mean you can beat the competition. I mean, with 1 year of involvement in it, you should pretty much have learned the ins and outs, right?

Explain that part please; Do you mean renting businss / office space out ?

That is why we do something called keyword research my friend. Best of luck in your future ventures!

What is the site about? Maybe you can list it on flippa and see if you can find a buyer

If it's a website why are you loosing money still? What are your costs other than hosting? Is your ppc not converting or something?

How can anyone give u any solid advice with that type of info? You literately just say "i fucked up" and that is it :|.

The problem is...I can't reveal the method. It's lucrative to the right person who can make it happen.

List the site and flip it. If u list it. Someone will know if the site will work for them

Site buildout...and this site is different.
Jeez I sound like an idiot cause I cannot give out the idea lol.

Maybe this aspect of IM is not your path, you already down 5k, take your losses and go a different path. With that 5k you could have tested multiple ways to find out what works for you.

This obviously don't, don't let this turn in a future post with the name, "Lost 10k total".
