Hey guys I'm thinking about buy a dedicated server and hosting really CHEAP VPS the server I want to buy is configured with

  • 3Ghz or faster
  • 4 Cores / 4 threads
  • 16GB DDR3
  • 2TB Capacity *
  • 33TB Monthly Transfer
  • 5 usable IPv4 Address
  • /64 IPv6 Address Block*
  • CentOS 6
Looking for a crew thats willing to work for hosting maybe? till we make some real cash? Looking for a full staff. I can get the server up and running with solusVM.

Ive done this before but I'm kind of rusty so anyone that has server administrator knowledge would be great to!

can I have a mod post this in the proper section I thought this was a decent subject for Random questions on this topic

Unless you already have existing/ potential pool of customers, I will suggest that you do not waste your time/ resources OP. Competition is too big and profitability is limited due to high marketing cost involved.

with that config you would have to sell openvz and sell a ton of vps to cover the cost of the server and to make money.

You are going to have to also get something like solusvm or virtuozzo, plus something to manage your clients and so on.

Unless you already own a server listing VPS at 99 is not going to make you money. If anything it will bring you spammers and your upline host will cancel out your server and then you get a bad rap with your customers.
