Zennoposter vs ubot or other

Hello,
What in your opinion is the best web automation software? I am looking to automate some of the tasks I do. I need it mainly for scraping data and automate some stuff that I do. I have downloaded the trial of zennoposter and manage to automate some very basic stuff. I have some much more complex task to automate and would like to know which one will be better. I have not tried ubot since it does not have a trial. How does it compare to ubot?

Yes it is pretty good and I am considering purchasing it. But I wanted to know how it compares with ubot. Which one will allow me to create bots faster? I don't have time to learn C#. What I found really interesting about ubot is the compiling feature. I don't plan to sell bots but I will be able to compile my bots and then use it on a VPS.

I've never tried Zenno. I have uBot and it works great for what I need. In fact, I made a bot that sets up PBNs. It installs random theme, adds pages, disables comments, creates menu, and does the entire basic setup.

There's another tool called Browser Automation Studio that's free. Overall, I would go with uBot because there's really good support and it does everything you need.

Dont buy this overpriced garbage...

Are you seriously going to buy a "bot builder" software where the developers of this tool made a "drag and drop" interface from a drop down menu.
And once you drag and drop something you just go infinitely downwards...

How convenient... very well thought out Bot software...

Now when something goes wrong and you want it resolve itself from a point you can go scroll up and find that part where it messed up, or re-loop a process from a point upwards...
Very convenient indeed...

And if you need something just open up the left sidebar and find the thing that you need from a drop down menu, within a drop down menu, within a drop down menu.
**I've heard that no mouse has survived the bottom of the sidebar once all menu items are expanded, the mouse scroll breaks apart somewhere in the middle, don't try this at home**

I mean seriously, I would love to challenge a ubot fanboy (if they even exist) here to do an exact same bot together...
We can do it over skype, and we keep track of time...

If my bot isn't 80% faster (in time) created than you in ubot I will personally give you 50$.
I willing to put it in escrow and I'm not joking around, Im willing to put up 50$, and we go for it...


I mean look at this beautiful organized bot script in zennoposter...

It's like a peace of art...
Fixing itself if it breaks somewhere, re looping certain things, holding puases when it necessary, proceeding to a second part of the script once certain tasks are completed...

I am NOT saying this isn't possible in UBOT..
Im saying that UBOT is like trying to make a painting in paint, and I use a mouse, while you move your cursor with the arrows and press spacebar to place a dot.
( If you think that I am joking around, this example is probably how faster I'll be done with my script than anyone in ubot ).
We can both get the same beautiful results, only I was ready 99,999% faster than you...

The main thing that held me back from Zenno was the inability to compile, and the fact that you have to profit share with them if you want to sell using Zennobox. One of the other things that put me off were some complaints that I read about the help being pretty scarce in English. I did like Zenno's organization better though.

I think ubot should be at a price point of $100... Not 1200+ Or whatever the price of this windows 95 looking garbage software is right now.

Dont be scared of the forum which is mostly in Russian, you wouldn't probably even need it.
the tools are so well designed in such an order that after knowing a few functions the rest of the function you haven't even tried yet becomes logical.

All you need to do is try it out, watch a few videos from youtube "guy named : Dexlab"
And your good to go...

But their system has also benefits, you can update your software through their website and give all your customers notice of an update.
You give them "zennobox" which is already an awesome tool that can scrape proxies for them, and use it in their bots without hassle.
You can ask for a payment per updated script (pay for an upgrade) if you fixed something in the script or added a new feature.

I mean all these things have benefits too, I know they take a cutt from your script.. But I like their added value doing it through them, rather than doing it alone and having all this hassle on your end.

That's cool that it adds value at least. Now, when you distribute via ZennoBox, does it allow white labeling or is it very obvious that you're using ZennoPoster as the base?

What I would say about ubot is they are money hunger. Even simple feature they are selling through plugin though their original software cost 1K.

I've actually looked at your application in the past. How do you plan to make money from it? Being that I'm building a business off the applications I use, I get nervous when I see a free solution because they are often abandoned. What are your plans to make BAS into a sustainable business?

Don't get me wrong, I love free software and I appreciate the efforts that go into it.

My concern is that when my business depends on someones' software, I need to know they won't abandon it. You can look at the WordPress plugin repository as an example. Tens of thousands of abandoned plugins. Generally speaking, I will use use a mediocre product with a solid business model before I use an amazing product that I believe will fail because the developer didn't create a good business model. I'll keep an eye on the amazing product to see how it progresses, especially if their business model changes, but I usually won't implement it until I'm confident that they're sticking around. I've been wrong in the past :-/

Developers have to eat and they have families to support. That's why I generally prefer paid software with a reliable business model. If I made bots and sell them to hundreds of customers, then the platform I'm using closes up shop, that ruins my business, and creates a ton of work for me as I'll need to rebuild my bots in a new platform, then redeploy them to all of my remaining customers (as I'm sure many will have abandoned me).

That's the only reason I asked. Clearly, you have a sustainable business model in place. Good for you. I hate to see good software get abandoned, but I also understand why a lot of developers do.
