Hey Guys,

I've had a little activity in Clickbank over the years. Did some YT videos a while back and I get a sale maybe every few months now.

Recently I started trying really hard to promote a new product in hopes that I could start generating sales more often, but am now starting get to very discouraged.

I don't want to get into too much details, but I feel that I am promoting to a very targeted audience. Sort of promoting it as a review, saying XXXX helped me tremendously and that I suggest anyone else interested in XXXX to try it out.

Nothing to fancy on my end, and I'm using social media, and not doing anything too spammy. However, over the past 14 days I've gotten 300 hops, and no sales whatsoever :( I haven't even gotten an order form impression.

Didn't want to reach out to the vendor incase they think my techniques are too spammy. Just thought I would ask you guys first what your thoughts are.

Do you think I am doing something wrong? Or am I missing something? I was wondering if it was maybe just the product or their sales page, or even the price (it's got almost $100 commission).... But I was under the impression when I found them and looked at pop/grav that they were pretty good. Or should I keep pushing up those numbers higher and higher?

Just in my head I figure 300 hops is a lot. Heck, the other one that I get sales for occasionally only has like 7 hops in the last 14 days, but has 2 order impressions.

To answer your question, it's been a while since I've worked with Clickbank, though if I recall correctly, the problem you described is usually caused by either the quality of your traffic or by your landing page.

For instance, you might be sending 300 visitors over to your landing page that promotes a teeth whitening product, but those 300 visitors might already have white teeth. In this case, it would be better to target chain smokers or recovering alcoholics who are self-conscious about their looks enough to care about whitening their teeth.

As far as your landing page is concerned, look into conversion rate optimisation (CRO). Try split testing different elements on your page, place your call-to-action (CTA) above-the-fold (the area the visitors see without scrolling down), use a single CTA, use different colours, etcetera.

There really are a lot of things that can deter people away from the product; some little and some major. High prices and shady products, as you've already mentioned, can cause problems among other factors.

I have done clickbank for 6 months and with 1000 hops I have only had 1 Sale. I think the clickbank products are some of the most marketed online and the competition is fierce. If your going to compete you will have to rank high and be first.

300 isn't a statistically relevant number of clicks, could be bad luck and you'll see 5 sales the next 100 clicks, could be a product that doesn't sell well with your traffic, could be you aren't preselling it right and they click, but look somewhere else before buying and your ID is overwritten. But again, 300 is far from a lot.

Reach out to the vendor, if someone is selling on CB, nothing that's legal is too spammy ;) Maybe they have some advice, they know their customers best. Also make sure to test different offers, sometimes the type of site or way you advertise is simply not compatible with a certain product and works awesome with a different one. Testing is really essential, don't trust popularity and gravity, they are indicators that some people do well with them, but it doesn't mean they do well for everybody or every type of traffic. Just because something works great with an email list doesn't mean it does well with organic traffic or facebook.

However I don't have much experience with Clickbank but what I can tell you is this is IM world. Sometimes, something works like charm and sometimes the things won't work even a lot of efforts. My suggestion - if the product is not working well then you should move on and try other products.

I'd say one of the problems is the price of the product you are trying to promote. If you get such high commissions it's expensive. And the more expensive it is, the harder it is to get people to actually buy it.

Hey Friend, sell doesn't depend on click, it depends on necessity. If you can target some people who need the exact product you are promoting then you must get a lots of sales. But if you promote products to un-targeted people you get lots of clicks but no sales. So, i would like to request you to first target your exact buyers and promote the products to them.
