RDP VS VNC? Help Me to Choose One

Hi Guys,

Currently, I have several VPS packages for stealth accounts on some website. I want to keep history, cookies, and other data on the "browser". No mass download, upload, or anything else, it's just for play safe with the accounts. Unfortunately, I don't have very fast internet connection.

Someone used RDP, but another guy using VNC. Please, help me to choose one.

Hi,

RDP = Probable a Windows Server

VNC = Probable a Linux/x-Windows server/device.

You can use RDP on Linux with X-RDP

VNC needs special app, RDP is in every Windows edition.

I would go with RDP if scaled correctly your low bandwidth connection should be ok.

If the VPSs are running Windows always go for RDP because you can personalize the Windows Client suiting your low internet speed.

If you're running Linux, go for TightVNC viewer. Its a decent experience.

I have new AWS Amazon Free Tier, so, I can install and choose Windows or Linux, Mate. What is the best options for this? Linux with VNC/TightVNC or Windows with RDP?

Really depends on the type of apps you wanna run? For eg, Mass Planner is a windows app so you will have to get a Windows RDP. If all you need is a web browser, then either will do. But since there are lots of tools and apps running on Windows, I'd advise you to get that.

Why I don't get "Public IP"? I got "Public DNS". Then, is possible to change the hostname on AWS?

The IP is in the DNS name. Exchange the hyphens for periods. The only way to change the hostname is to attach an Elastic IP to your instance and request it here.
