So organic instagram is dead

after reviewing my own experience and listening to some behind the scenes podcasts from Marketer's in the know I have to think that organic (or following/un following & botting) is in its death throws. The only way to Gain traction on instagram these days is to spend big on advertising.

So unless anyone can convince me otherwise that's where my energy will be spent. Please share your experience as I'm keen to know what you are experiencing.

So have I, growing every day for over 2 years. Now not so much. The slow death is coming, same happened with Facebook. Instagram and instagram business pages are way harder to grow now and it's even hard to keep followers. If you have a secret good on you but be warned it won't last forever. Enjoy your days in the sun
 
Here we go again, let's close down the instagram section and abandon Ig all together.
Ig is dead, making money on social media is dead, lets all go get real jobs and work at mcdonalds.

Organic Instagram is not dead, maybe it's dead if you are using poorly setup bots and engagement groups and posting pixelated screenshots nobody wants to see...

The bots for sure, but how can you poorly use engagement groups? Interesting, because my engagement also dropped a lot and even the telegram groups barely help me anymore... also my organic growth is dead.

it's my theory that (at least the public) engagement groups are very, very obvious, and i don't think there's much point getting likes from accounts called luxry_cars_rich with a dozen thousand fake/low quality followers

i'd much rather show up on the explore page of real people, or at least just show up on the news feeds of people who do follow me already (a problem that some people here seem to be having)

Well OP is right somewhat, he's probably not used to the new algorithm changes, and that's what he's complaining about.
Sure, last year it was way easier to grow accounts, but with new changes, you gotta come up with new methods and you will be fine :)
