I try to post via GAF free but they reject my post thread , said it shoulb be on Full time project or commission based something..

I will try Elance, Odesk, or maybe Getacoder first before put small amount of money into GAF account.

I posted my ad using the GAF free trial for new users. I didn't have to put any money down.

I tried GAF and got my first rewriter there through the free trial for new users, somehow communication through the GAF site using the free trial feels kinda buggy. The first few PMs were ok, but somehow there were no replys afterwards.

I posted on oDesk which is free to post, they required me to post it as an 'hourly' job according to my ad, which I am sure it is not. But, who cares what we need is just communication with the candidates, as soon as we can interview them, give them a sample. I was not able to attach files in the oDesk interview process, so I simply uploaded to mediafire and told the candidates to download the sample. Remember to attach your email in the sample file (odesk will never know you are giving them your email address). Later, simply tell the candidates that "send your first trial articles according to the instructions in the sample file".

I liked Get A Coder, also free to post, in which I get most of my candidates. You can PM and attach files with their chat system. There are sometimes delays, but at least it works for me.

Although eLance is free to post, they need you to verify by first depositing $10 (they promised to refund it). I didn't get any reply from my post in eLance.

Hello, I've started on AC as well. After reading redtide's guide (which is truly awesome), I still have this question how many similar articles on AC should there be, so that it would be sensible to rewrite an article about something? It still comes down to my overanalyzing and overthinking nature. Rewriting articles is not too difficult, but I simply do not know what to rewrite, so I spend too much time choosing articles to rewrite. I do not want to move on to hiring a team of writers, before I know exactly what AC wants. Little less thinking and little bit more doing would be in order, I suppose. Any thoughts or suggestions?

@ kumkum - Yes, GAF has a free trial in place for your first ad placement (I usually open two accounts to take advantage of two free trials) This way you get through the hiring/training period quicker by having many more bids coming in.

Everyone who's reporting back to me has been finding their best results, like I always have, at GAF (the most bidders to choose from) but do try the others as well if you'de like.

It never hurts to be analitical with your approach getting started because I was the exact same way when I first started AC lol. But at the same time it really does take diving in and learning little things as you go. I had studied everything about AC for nearly two months before I had even submitted my first article. In hindsight I kind of wish I had just dove in and worked on scaling it up because after a few weeks things became a lot clearer just by "doing" instead of "researching."

By all means, when you're just getting started do a search for the topic/keywords in AC's search function to confirm that too many people haven't already wrote about that particuliar keyword. If more than 15 people have then I won't do that article unless I can add a "twist" to it before sending it off to be rewritten. (like I show you in the book)

Let me know if this helped answer your questions.

Like I said, just dive in (keep looking at AC's top writers articles as a basic guideline for your own) and profit!

and i FINALLY made it thru reading this whole thread! great stuff, i'm sure i'll be referring back to it.

i have one A C account already set up with my real name/email/PP account that i will keep using for mostly grey hat purposes (occassional new/original articles written by me) mixed in with some rewrites done by me....
then i'll just open another account that will just be all rewrites and crap (but GOOD crap of course!) geared toward generating as much money as possible.

unfortunately, i have the most time and access during work, but i dont think i can/should mess with proxy and IP-hiding stuff from this computer. so my 2nd account i'll set up at home initially, but then post to it from here at work?
i guess i should read the guide first... just curious if AC checks IP's as far as where the articles are coming from (or do they only look at that when creating new accounts). i assume if i just have a couple AC accounts and i'm not slamming them with crazy volume and my stuff is decent then i shouldn't raise any red flags.
i think i might have some paypal questions too about how to link accounts, etc, but i'll read the guide first to see if that's all answered.

Im doing the same thing, and I earn a bit more per article ($5.50 or more) since i have a clout 9. But Im wondering how you come up with so many articles to rewrite daily. Do you have your writers find topics on their own??

No I don't have them come up with topics on their own. Like previously talked about in the thread, I supply all articles and keywords.

As far as where I get my content, I only talk about that in my book for obvious reasons.

Received 4-5 offers today for my articles today. For some reason none of them made $3 dollars. $2.25-$2.85. Damn, I thought they were well-written and had decent keyword density. Maybe I got a bad editor , I dunno. I'll try changing up the account and articles.

Go to the content tab, then go to the incomplete thing. Then you have 3 options on the left side of the bar (the 3 black things)
V = preview
e= edit
x = delete

there you go, just press one of em

Yeah, it is hard. I even pushed it to a $1.50 but still getting crappy spun articles.

Anyways, I've turned one of my blogs into a Rewriter ad. If I find serious rewriters, I'll be sure to give others the heads up.rof01:

First of all I wanted to say damn it's good to get back in here! lol. I was blocked out for three days wondering if the site had been hacked and what was going on. Anyway, I'm really glad to get back in and see everything is status quo!

@ goodbyebluemonday - Fine tune and tweak your submissions and the upfronts will rise. Basically AC is letting you know that the articles aren't quite what they're looking for yet. I can tell by your posts that you're a good writer so it's just a matter of fine tuning what you submit to them. :biggthump

No problem kim, when I first started this thread the "partner calls" were still called "calls for content" but since then they've changed the names. The regular old "c4c's are many times just for performance only and when they do offer upfront pay for them it's usually chump change that they offer for them. (especially when you consider all of AC's requirements)

I never do the "regular c4c's.

The only thing I do from the assignment desk is the "partner calls". Again, these are designated by a small icon just below the assignment desk box. These are the ones I've been talking about throughout this thread. When they make them available for you to "claim" them, they pay you a flat $10-$20 each upfront payment. Again, they make them available to you based upon your already published articles and your clout level etc.

I hear ya, but you have to be patient when weeding out the bad writers. It took me almost a month to get the 4 good rewriters I have. (they've been working for me now for 7-8 months) If they send you crappy spun samples, move on to the next bidder.

Just like with any business you have to be patient when getting things set up. That's also why I like to keep my ads running all the way to max allowed.

I invested in RedTide's manual this morning. I say invested, because it genuinely is an investment that is well worth more than his price. I seldom buy ebooks without a lot of research and waiting to hear some reviews and i'd been watching this one for a couple of weeks. I am not disappointed at all, in fact, this is one of the best written guides i've seen. If you can't make money with this one, hang up your hat now, because he's practically handing you all the tools to make money on autopilot.

That's a huge compliment that you feel like it's one of the best written guides you've come across, Thanks much! It's the first ebook I've ever written so you have no idea how good that feels to hear. I tried to be as straightforward and to the point as possible (basically taking the things I didn't like about other ebooks I've read) and write a book that I would personally like to read, that walked me through step by step and told me things it would have taken months on my own to learn myself.

I hope you're able to use it to kick some AC ass mate!
