Scammer? I'm stucked, What da

Ok guys, I think I've met a scammer or whatever.
He promised me that my project will be done within one week, and now he got load of shit excuses, such as "I GOT MY FIVE YEARS CONTRACT JUST NOW", "I JUST GOT ANOTHER $12k PROJECT JUST NOW", "MY GRANDMUM IS SICK" etc and keep delaying my project.

Now is already week 3 since I paid him, should I F up with him or should I move on?

Can anybody tell me whether is this "the" American's style? (No offense)

thanks for the suggestion, but i've paid him in advance, thinking for a refund and f him. I told him this Monday to get my work done, and he said will be done on latest Wednesday. Now, the end of Thursday, he's telling me that he's out of home, attending some shit conference and get some 10k projects. The flight was delayed 3 hours and shit happened.

If by "American style" you mean shady and rather scoundrelish, (take you for anything you got type) then yes, that could be an American stereotype.

Why do we behave this way? Because growing up in American means they teach you not to trust ANY other country. Lol,
EXAMPLE:

"Don't trust the Germans son". Don't trust the Russians boy". "Now look here boy, don't ever find yourself doing a deal with the Japanese".

Things have changed a little, now it's,..... "Son, I'll tell you what, don't ever trust them Nigerians".

okay, so when I looked for him today, he told me that he "was in terminals fixing some servers"
I wonder what job he's doing, cuz last time when I looked for him, someone(probably him,pretended to be a whore) telling me that "I'm his secretary, he's out now and I'll help you text him".
Any guys here, is a technician that owned a secretary? and went all over the states looking for contracts?

Unfortunately there is always the chance that this can happen, you just need to get a refund and move on, don't worry about spending time on trying to get back at him or anything and don't let it deter you as there are many good people out there who will do a good job for you it's just the way of the internet.
