A VPS is a Virtual Private Server. I have a few of these that I use to run various instances of MassPlanner for clients. You can read more about them in the article I wrote here.

While I would highly recommend getting an aged account, I'd say that >50% of my clients use brand new accounts with 0 followers. The only difference is that I take things much, much slower and it's more likely that they will ask for Email/Phone verification. No matter how old the account is, I still warm them up, but I just take it much, much slower on new(ish) accounts.
