Hi, recently I built my 1st niche site, the main keyword competition is medium and it has 1K us monthly search. I have been making money in some other ways in online, but this is 1st time I am working on amazon affiliate program. I learned everything by following top marketers. So, even I have little experience before but I am confused if I am doing the things in right way. My site is 4 months old, 1st two months I did nothing, filled the site with high quality content, about two months ago I made 1st backlink, after that I am doing seo constantly, recently I bought a some PBN links, so there was some positive movements of my keywords in serp. The 2nd main keyword reached few days ago in 2nd page of US google for #14 spot. It was there for few days, suddenly my serp checker showed me alert that it can not find that keyword in that position, I checked and found nothing, I thought it is normal, as it happened with some other keywords too. they were vanishing from serp and coming back after 2-3 days in better position. But this one is different, still no change, and today I found with another serp checker( it can check serp upto 200 spots, the previous one can only 100), that my site is holding #174 position, what broke my heart totally. I am affriad my hard work is going to fail even after a huge investment on contents and seo. Any suggestion from anyone, is it normal? if it is not normal how to recover this? Thanks in advance for any kind of help or advice.

Check your search console see if it is a manual penalty. If the issue is the new links you build
You could disavow and ask for a reconsideration

I am new, so dont have much idea about the search consol, still learning.
how to check the manual penalty? any tools? or which option should I check?

Go in webmaster tools, click on your site, click Search Traffic and then Manual Actions

Thanks, nothing is there, am I safe?

I don't think there is anything abnormal with KWs vanishing when building links. I guess the PBNs are still indexing. Give it time, and it will come back to a better position.

Same thing happened to one my niche site. Build some links and it disappear from SERP for 1 fcking month. Let it be and then it came back powerfully and strong. Since your domain is just 4 months old. There is nothing to worry about yet.... So don't let your heart be broken :(

I experienced something like this. I checked the backlinks and i found out that some of the PBN links i bought got de-indexed.

I disvowed it and after few weeks my rankings went back to normal.

Make sure the PBN links you bought did not get de-indexed.

Dont buy cheap PBN posts!

How do you figure out the PBN links you bought got de-indexed? I thought most sellers don't disclose domains

That sounds awful, definitely staying away from those now

Basically, there are two possibilities. 1) You've been penalized and 2) you're dancing; Google is still evaluating you, kinda.

The 2nd instance is much better! But, even if it is the 1st instance; it is what it is. You learn a lesson and move on. Don't wait on it for too long.. start a new project.

I've been penalized by almost every panda and penguin. My earnings have shrunken by over 50%, just overnight! But, every time, I came back stronger.

The secret to Google rankings is not on page optimization or off page optimization..... but your determination!

All the best buddy!

I can see those pbn links still in my webmater, those links are not cheap, I bought it from a trusted seller.

You can check and see if those links are still indexed by using Google search bar add entering the URL: or do a site: operator and search the site to see if that page is still indexed. Anyways, best of luck with your adventure. Thank you for positing. In my opinion it sounds like Google isn't sure about something with this one keyword. I've had some sites that do quite a bit of dancing, but nothing with that heavy of a swing. Now, that doesn't mean it is for sure a penalty. Anyways, I would walk through the backlinks that are pointing to your site and see where things are going wrong. Best Of Luck. - Hambone
