Watch niche any good for adsense?

Anyone here know if watch niche is good for adsense money? I'm working on my dad's eCommerce and he said he's cool with me putting my own ads on it since I'm doing it all for him. Kinda courious about writing articles for the site and have ads placed there. Any tips?

if you are running an ecommerce site selling your own products, why put adsense on there and take potential customers away to buy from others. Why not use the space to run special deals, start a newsletter etc and keep the business within.

I was thinking of only putting ads on the blog portion of the site tbh. Just wondering if it would be worth it for me on my end. He offered it tbh

well i can't say what you should do, i personally would mention in the blog posts and related products that are in the store to stop people leaving, because once they do they aren't coming back, especially if your ads have cheaper or better deals. Ecommerce is cut throat keeping customers, or potential customers on the site as long as possible is important. However if you'd rather earn a few cents or a couple of bucks and miss potential sales then good luck to ya

glad to help, i have built lots of stores for clients and have had this before. Best to keep customers on the site, the longer they are there the more you can expose them to offers etc.
having a blog on the site is good but then why encourage them to go to a competitor? Anyway good luck with your store

but you are directing away your own customers, why, if you are selling your own products do you want to direct your own customers to amazon? It doesn't make sense

If I were you, I will tell him that I will add a tracking code in my articles. If the sale is generated by your articles, he will give you a small percentage.
IMO, placing ads on the ecommerce site is not a good ideas. If you have time and want to earn more money, you should find more related products to sell.

adsense is displaying ads according your niche .... so i don't get the question of your thread. You have a niche and you can check the cpc for that.

it's his dads physical product store as i understand it. they are selling their own products and not an affiliate site

Either way adsense sucks, I know that because I am using it for 11 years, they continue to decrease cpc. Even if you compare cpc with 2012 you would find it's 3 times lower today.

hi sorry everyone i was watching 1000 degree knife videos because my attention span is that of a dog. ive decided to just keep it strictly ecommers and ill build up an email list for costumers. make a social accounts dedicated to the niche and write a few blogs. drive traffic to the blog and build up a list that way too. then some how make my dad so rich i can be like Trump jr

You can try one of those for example:

- Insurance
- Loans
- Credit
- Lawyer
- Hosting

All those are nice to Google Adsense

Exactly that, You can even laser-target which websites you want your ads to display on, so a direct competitor of yours could take advantage of your targeted traffic.

If you are just starting out, then it is a very bad idea. The ads displayed will be of your competitor and you will lose visitors for less money. They could have bought from your e-commerce portal. An ecommerce site should be focused on one thing: selling product. Make it as easy as possible for consumers to find, evaluate, and buy products you are selling. Any site features that don't contribute to selling products should be eliminated. At worst, ads also provide a distraction. If a consumer clicks an ad, they leave your site and the conversion funnel is totally interrupted.

If you still decide to use adsense, you can filter out competitive sites ads if you wish and leave related topic ads to avoid a decrease in your sales.
