How profitable is PPC these days? Also is bing worth it?

I used to do a lot of PPC campaigns on adwords about 4-5 years ago. Just recently came back to affiliate marketing after working in industry and saving money. I've saved about 80k to get this business really going. Got my organic sites growing and whatnot but want to get back into PPC.

My question is whether affiliate marketing offers still work on PPC, around when I stopped back when google was getting more strict with it. I do use landpages just a heads up not direct linking. Also does PPC feel more like luck to you all or when you fine tune a campaign does it make money for a good while for you? Back when I had some really good weeks back when but wasn't consistent (to be fair back then I had like $300 to my name).

Anyways just asking what the current climate is like. I also have a $200 bonus balance at bing so was going to give them a try. So any recommendations on good niches or bing in general would be great. Thanks all!

I only use Bing and I prefer them to adwords. They are cheaper and I have much higher conversion rates and, this is personal preference, I find there system easier to use. To answer your question is there still money to be made, yes, there is money to be made, and no, it doesn't feel like its luck.

I know of a niche that is growing and it has real potential and I know of a really good relevant affiliate program you could promote. If you are interested PM me.

Bing is way cheaper, im using them with no problems. It still takes alot of work but their system is pretty easy to use. Take advantage of the coupon and all your cash, thats really the first step is having cash to test ads

Think of Bing as the testing ground for your campaigns, then scale with Adwords once you have found a profitable niche. As mentioned, it's gonna be hard work, but persevere and it will all pay off in the end!

Very hard to do blackhat stuff in adwords, you first must have in place account farming + cloaking, getting banned is just part of the process, you can look on more legit ways of affiliate thought, think on e-commerce, lead gen, etc. hidden blackhat stuff like generating your own leads and monetise them with email
