Help With GSA SER Target Urls

Hi All.

I just started using GSA SER and still learning how to make it work. One big issue I have been facing is using the target urls that I scrape from scrapebox. No matter how many times I import the target urls from a file, once I start the project I keep on getting the below error in the log.

"Attention! No targets to post to (no search engines chosen, no site list enabled, no verified URLs to extract targets, no scheduled posting)"

I have selected "No search engines are used" and "No site lists are used" in the options section of the project.

I am unable to figure out a solution to it. Please help if you have an idea where I am going wrong.

Are you getting any verifieds at all? If so, your likely just burning through the list very quickly. Unless your footprints are hardcore specific, probably 70~ ish percent of what you scrape is not going to result in a verified link.

Do you have any filters enabled? That can do it to.

I used scrapebox to scrape target sites using the footprints from GSA. I have like 1million plus target sites left if I click show remaining target urls.
What type of filters?

Try right clicking on a project and import them from scrapebox. But its VERY IMPORTANT. You need to export from Scrapebox in ANSI format, or encoded ansi. The default export on Scrapebox is unicode and GSA doesn't support that, last I Checked anyway.

Yes, this is exactly what I figured out last night. List needs to be in ANSI format to be used by GSA.

1. What platforms and engines do you have selected?
2. What types of URLs do you have it set to make in the project options tab?
3. Where are you getting the footprints you scraped with?

You maybe using useless footprints as explained in this post to scrape with meaning you end up with a bunch of stuff SER cant actually post to.

GSA scrapes them by itself. If you want to speed things up, you can buy GSA lists. Otherwise you're just duplicating work.

Got a bunch of list building guides online here that should help you, the top one is the one that goes over scrapebox intergration.

Id go for Shaunm's guides. You can scrape faster with scrapebox then with GSA, and if your using thread in GSA to scrape, thats threads that can be posting links.

Scrapebox lets you run an unlimited number of instances of it (on windows, not on mac), so you can still scrape your gsa lists and then have another instance doing something else with scrapebox and still have gsa ser doing its link building, what it does best. I mean gsa can scrape, but its less efficient since you can only run 1 instance of it and really when you go above about 250 to 300 threads in GSA, due to how windows works etc... you start getting diminishing returns.
