Is there any value to having a Myspace page with PR since you can't pass the juice along? I have a boat load of sites that I snagged before the link changes were made and only got proper links up on about half of them. So should I just forget about them all or is there something else I should try?

I haven't had direct monetary success using MySpace to advertise anything in quite some time, but it might be helpful to remember that PR is not the only thing that matters. If, as many people believe, SE's like Google are using LSI as one part of their indexing algorithms, creating semantic "neighborhoods" by associating a series of words together with a specific site may indeed be helpful, though I imagine the fact that you're doing it on MySpace would all but negate the positive effect.

To answer your question simply, I would abandon it unless you're able to do bulk edits, because you could probably be using your time, resources, and energy in a far more productive way. Hopefully that was helpful.

And this is the exact reason that I am asking. The backlinks I do have up helped a lot when I first got all the Myspace accounts. Many were PR 5 and really helped boost my sites. But now if I edit a link on those pages, all the links change to the redirects. So if I am going to do anything with these accounts, I want to make sure there is a decent ROI.

Myspace is a good place to advertise even in there forum chat line one time i got more then 150 member in less then 20 min on my old forum, just by telling someone about my forum.

I see what you're saying now. So they didn't switch the old links to msplinks obfuscation? That's interesting and if that is the case, I'd leave them alone.

Yes, I am leaving them alone for sure ;) I still have over 100 though that are just dormant and have say PR 3. I can't be bothered with all the friend adders etc, I just want to exploit the site and not have to create all these fake profiles and beg "friends" to fill out forms to get gift cards etc.
