Hey guys
so I googled the above question, but found out that tools aren't reliable. I tested it with 5-6 expired domains and it showed its been penalised just because it cannot find it in index.
I tested the domain which I bought yesterday and it said its penalised. I am convinced that these tools aren't accurate.

How do you make sure that expired domain that I am planning to buy isn't penalised ?

Cheers.

Not being in the index doesn't mean it is penalised. Check the history of the domain in archive.org & screenshots.com to ensure they were not used as PBN earlier. Also check majestic and see the anchor texts the backlinks are going to, not some Chinese & Japanese shit. Do check the pages where the domain is back linked and see whether they are spam or real backlinks.

These are the steps you can do to ensure you get a clean domain and just pray it gets indexed

Even after doing all this you will sometimes end up with a dud. That is how the game is right now. But if you ensure all the steps above then 9/10 time you should get the right domain.

Indeed thanks.

Now, I just found that the backlinks in one of my domains is full of Chinese shit, it didn't get penalized yet but I'm afraid it gets penalized in a near future. There is any way to revert this situation?

Disavow tool with Google can help bad links be discredited by Google. If you have access to the domain you can use webmaster tools to check for penalties but as far as a 100% method before purchase is nearly impossible but you can always work with Google to get penalties removed especially if you have proof you just purchased the domain.

I am afraid you cannot revert this situation. Only method is to give some high quality back links to your domain if you desperately needs to use it. But then who know for what the Chinese were using it for, may be not Viagra stuff. In that case just dump the domain and move on.

put up a blog with some content and see if it get index and crawl by google bot

Check your webmaster tool...you should know from there

I would just put some content on the domains and see if they are index. The only real sure way is to try.
