Can you please tell me what people are using more when it comes to checkout, paypal or credit cards?

It depends on the industry. PP is the most popular choice in a lot of industries like drop shipping. But for offline marketing people usually pay by credit card. Or check.

So, again, it all depends.

So basically most of people online pay with PayPal not with the CC?

Yes, that is technically correct. However, you can also pay with credit card through paypal, without having to disclose your card information to the seller.
If you aim to establish a successful online venture, you should make sure you can accept both forms or payment.

Perhaps this is just a belief. I used to think that 90% of people will prefer PayPal when buying a SaaS product. When I added a bitcoin as a payment option, a significant percent of new orders got paid with it. When I added a CC option, most buyers started using it.
I also noticed that whenever I feel there will be no problem getting refund in the rare case I need it, I prefer CC over PayPal just bc I don't like PayPal in general.

Well PayPal is popular, but so is credit cards, bank transfer, check, payoneer, bitcoins.. you name it.

People like to have options when checking out.

I highly recommend using both. Doesn't matter the industry or niche; you need to offer both. I personally don't recommend taking checks unless it's from reputable companies that are certified businesses. But yeah, honestly dude offer both.

PayPal but Credit Card comes in 2nd place.

I try to provide as many payment options as possible for customers.. recently Bitcoin was added and surprise surprise people use it!

Credit cards only for serious business. Gives some oomph unlike those weird redirects and logins when customers are checking out.
