If you want to host a landing page, or any web page, buy a VPS and install it from there. I recommend DigitalOcean.

Have a domain, create your own landing page and upload to your host if not create a wordpress and use a plugin to create your landing page they are very easy

OP, do you know what is website hosting is. If not, you'd better look into web 2.0.
I have a feeling that you will have a hard time hosting your own landing page while you ask this question.
I don't mean to offend but when seeing people recommend newbie to use Digital Ocean or something which is daunting even the someone who know a bit is too much.

If you purchase hosting rather than a server / vps, you'd simply have a folder which is accessible through the hosting website.
You'd have to upload your website / landing page to that folder
