Journey to 100K Subs on YouTube

The channel is called "WhiteBoardTV"

I've tried my hand with youtube before, as well as ad sense making websites everything under the sun however I'll be doing a massive focus on this channel in the coming months follow my journey from scrub to that silver button!


DAY 1 01-13 / Finished brainstorming for the channel placed a Fiverr order for a logo and set up the youtube account.

DAY 2 01-14 / Finished my first animated video, posted it to the channel and cross posted on reddit and a few other social media websites. In addition it was sent to some of my close friends all of whom gave positive feedback and the views are actually beginning to roll in.

Good luck man! Doing a similar journey although I do not have a journey thread or anything, just a personal journey. I've had a bit of experience with YouTube although I'm still honestly a newbie. I had one channel get to 2.6k, this was my previous main channel although the niche just wasn't going to work for me long term and I was already starting to get bored of it. I've got a channel with 1.6k that doesn't require much work, just schedule a few videos to go up every week over a few months and forget about. The reason I'm not too worried about this channel is because it generates very little revenue due to the type of videos on it (I'm talking very, very little revenue. Like $1/10,000 views). Although I figure because it gains subs and views insanely easy, it's best for me to keep it maintained and hopefully in the future I'll find an excellent way to make money off it other than ads such as patreon and other things but I will wait until it is bigger before I implement those. My last channel is at 400 subs (still very new) and this channel is my main channel (even though it is the smallest). It grows quite well even when I don't upload and I expect to hit 1k fairly soon.

This is all my experience with YouTube and I hope to see your channel become successful (hopefully mine will too!)

UPDATES:
Second video was posted to the channel yesterday and the subs are starting to drip it (passed that 10 sub first milestone)

The videos i've cross posted to reddit and facebook with 75 % of traffic coming from reddit I think I will focus my efforts there the most until I create the FBOOK page and it gains traction.

I've gotten the time it takes to make these animations down from 4 hours to ~2.5 with the eventual goal being a 1.5 hour creation cycle so that I can do two in one day without burning out.

Anyone have tips for marketing videos my dude?

You can post comments on similar content videos asking to check your channel out or telling you have similar cool shit on your channel. Don't spam though or you can get ghosted and don't copy paste your message because that gets you ghosted as well, spin the comment or just write different comments.

Do you have a website dedicated to this and if so have you implemented a linking strategy to strengthen the ranking? Are your videos embedded within the articles? Also, hopefully if you do have a site the name is rather similar to your tube channel as it didn't come up within the first few pages of Google. You need to embed videos in as many places as you can to get your views up as well.

Great videos by the way! How long did it take to make each video? Thinking of other ideas are you can find other YouTubers in the same field as you and make collaboration videos. It seems to work well for most as both markets get introduced to each audience and you can grow this way.

The best thing to do is to find yourself a niche and stick to it. Find who the players are and where their audience go to interact. I'd certainly consider investing in a condenser mic and learning audio processing as that will make your videos seem much more professional.

Whilst the animated hand works for illustrations, the way you've got it drawing on photographs seams a bit jarring. You should get some more hand elements that could simply drag the photos in. Which would probably be much quicker to produce as well.

Never mind what I mentioned before. As a heads up there is older channel with only a couple videos but it is really quality content.

This is the next step currently doing this project with 0$ startup but I did that on my previous gaming channel and it worked out really well plan on doing a written article version of each video to help with click traffic thanks for the reminder to get my ass on that.

Thanks mate, first one took 4 hours second one took 2.5 hours. Going to look for a few channels to start getting friendly with thanks for the idea

The program is called "VideoScribe" it costs 30$ a month and also "might" be available on TPB for free.

Yeah I noticed some reddit feedback said the same thing, the program has a drag feature I'll be doing that for photos from now on i think, your comment reinforces that thought for sure.

The worst part here is I own a 300$ Razer Seiren microphone, I think this is prio 1 for me in the next week is to figure out why the fuck my recordings are sounding like crap when they should be crystal clear...

I can tell you why, try to get the sensitivity of the mic as low as possible and speak directly into the mic, and throw a pop filter on it, with directly i mean 1 to 3 cm away from it

Oi my god I forgot windows had it's own sensitivity shit jesus going to see if that makes a difference for the fourth video!

Day 3 was a break day.

Day 4: Third video made (pending post after render)

Views are trickling in from reddit & youtube both videos have passed 100 first video has passed 200 views.

Going to spend some time marketing tomorrow as well as making my fourth video.

You are on the right track, just dont stop uploading no matter what, infact better make some videos for when you are sick or anyhting comes up preventing you to make videos.

Once you mess up your shedule, the System wont recommend you anymore
