I spent a couple of months late last year building an affiliate site for a niche I am interested in.

Didn't do much at the time due to other commitments so I just let it sit there for a while and thought I would just get back into it in the new year, how wrong was I.

Logged into my affiliate account this morning and the site I planned on promoting has closed their affiliate program!!!!!!

Now I understand why people just stick with amazon and their lousy commission rates rather than independent retailers. Gotta update all my links now.

:(

Which site, mate? Please note so that we can avoid :(

Nice try to know OPs niche.

@sturose you should have some way to update your links, e.g. you should set up a redirect page on your website and link to it whenever you want to do an affiliate link. Or just use TDS.

Yeah OP also send this guy your niche and website details and credit card details and you id proofs also.

You forgot the shirt off my back!

@joe15 It was a small independent retailer so not really of interest to post here. The affiliate site I use has been going for years but affiliate programs come and go.

Yuh Vex

It's quite common.

A lot of companies will run an affiliate offer for 6 months, work out what the top affiliates are doing, clone it then end the offer...

Get used to it :)

But it hurts so bad!!:D

I'm working on it now, shouldn't take more than a couple of hours but the commission rates being offered were far better than amazon.
