Anyone tried Twitter + e-commerce?

Can anyone share their experiences with this combination? I have a couple of Twitter accounts (73K followers and 18K followers) in different niches that I want to monetize. I've tried content sites + AdSense but that's been disappointing.

I was thinking of setting up (or buying) e-commerce sites and driving traffic with the Twitter accounts.

How well does this work?

And what e-commerce platform would you recommend? I don't have a lot of time to do the setup, so if there is a premade solution I can buy, it might be worth it -- as long as it works!

Long time ago, I've tried buying retweets for my tweet with a link back to my target website (fashion niche), and it turned out to be a great technique to drag some real traffic. I bought retweets to my tweet 2 times a day, each time around 300 retweets, so total 600 retweets a day and I got a daily traffic of 100 real targeted visitors. and I'm sure the more you do, the better results you will get. Ive seen lots of big twitter account (70-150k) followers have been promoting their ecommerce store. And it seems these account is own by the same owner with multiple store and i guess he is doing well since its been pop up on my timeline few times a day getting retweet from real people. Just replicate how they are doing and i think you are gonna doing good.

Ecommerce store. You can easily get one using wordpress and woocommerce, get a professional ecommerce theme on themeforest. Maybe its slightly complicated compare to shopify but you can easily add another function if you are looking to expand using additional plugin.

Use wordpress + Paypal is ok and enough for a startup business, this solution is simple, fast to setup and these are very important for startup online business.
